q2 is the only game i havent played out of that list, but the DS versions are the one i’ve played. i honestly don’t know which one to buy

Culdcept Revolt is awesome. It takes a while to build.

 

So uh, I've never played a Pokemon game. Is now the time to start? Just watching some gameplay it doesn't seem particularly interesting. But I never grew up with the games. How much of its appeal is nostalgia?

I dropped my switch when pulling it out of my grip for the first time and jacked up one of my joycons a bit

the slide attachment on my right joycon knocked loose and split in two spots, but I was able to push it back into the casing

this may be an excuse for me to get my first new set of joycons though

finished 2 more ascension runs in Slay the Spire. one run i used Corruption and got to a point where i was able to hit 400+ (600 with debuffs). the other one i had so much relic that it didn’t fit the screen

 

Someone I know said Slay The Spire is not deep or that well designed because of the limited pool of cards and that you basically play the same characters and same decks exactly the same each time. He said he can "handle more than 75 cards" and the game is "deterministic" because of the cards options.

lol that is definitely not true. if anything i am surprised by the amount of depth this game has, and the way each card can function efficiently in different archetypes. and there are a lot of ways to break the game - sometimes you don’t even have to try hard, and i haven’t even played the 3rd character that much

 

yo I played the first 3 levels of Into the Breach, this game is tight

 

I know. His views on games (and most things) are always terrible.

the wild area is so so cool but also so laggy

 

3DS has pretty solid sales too

 

They’re wholesome, casual JRPGs with a great vibe and interesting mechanics. If you happen to get into competitive battling, they’re so much more. These aren’t the best Pokemon games, but also not the worst (also, there hasn’t been a bad core Pokemon game).

 

4 gyms down and I’m just wanting to get those max raids already

I already loved DQXI on PS4, but playing the Switch version right now and anything but this would feel inferior
