I don’t think it’s very unlikely tbh it was already remade and BotW kicked Zelda sales numbers into overdrive

So many people skipped out on the Wii U, it’d be a shame to not have WW on switch since I haven’t been able to play it in over 10 years.

Every once in a while I’ll go to one of those retro game conventions and I always just spend my time sifting through boxes and boxes of game boy titles

Top Wii U games that need to be ported well before the Zelda remasters:

    The Wonderful 101
    Pikmin 3
    NES Remix 1 & 2
    Pushmo World
    Nintendo Land

There's also a bunch of Wii games that should get ported as well, but only one I really care about ATM which is Trauma Team.

NES Remix fell flat for me personally and i dont see Nintendo Land being workable without at least two Switches present, but agree on the other three. Wonderful 101 is a game i would appreciate more now than i did then.

NES Remix was a great way to explore old games with them just being another straight rerelease. They could easily adjust Nintendo Land. They revamped a bunch of games that required the Wii U Pad already. It would also be great for them to add new games and build something called like Nintendo World or something.

which ones required the gamepad? outside of some touch gestures like Captain Toad the ports have largely been all on one screen outside of shoehorned UI elements on the pad like in MK8, to my recollection. never played Tokyo Mirage so that may be an exception.

NintendoLand had a two screen component didnt it? like one person had a certain view on the gamepad while the other players had a different perspective on the tv for certain games. i just dont see the logistics of moving that all to one screen without changes to the fundamentals.

Super Mario Maker (the whole controls for creating were based around the Wii U Pad), Zombi U (which is now on PS4 and other systems had you looking into your inventory/scan the area/solve locks using the Wii U pad which left you vulnerable to enemies because it operated on the gyroscope), Hyrule Warriors (had a whole asymmetrical local co-op mode that used the Wii U pad) and of course, Captain Toad.

Some games over others would need more work, that's obvious and I admit that, but it also makes it so the games could be more enjoyable and not be trapped to a failed console.

Nintendo Land could become something great as like Nintendo World or something by taking those games and updating them so they can perform well in a more accessible manner.

I think doing what they can to preserve their good ideas is important because so many games are lost forever and Nintendo has so many brilliant creations that it would be a shame if they just abandoned more of them.
