Amen, same age. Can't wait for my family to judge me behind my back when I post my "IT'S HERE" picture on Facebook because adults shouldn't be allowed to do anything but frown apparently.

i'm also excited because my little brother in law (15) will be staying with us for a week starting the day before the switch launches. he's a huge gamer and he's so pumped to just watch me play zelda haha. it sucks we won't really have anything to play together though.

There's gotta be some surprise in store for the eShop come launch. Nintendo would be insane to allow us to open their money portal on out shiny new toy, only to be greeted by nothing but the retail titles, Setsuna, and whatever I'm forgetting... right?

My dad didn't even do it behind my back when I got my PS4 in 2013. Commented "Really?" underneath it. I was like, come on.

I'm still holding on to the hope that Snipperclips will be there. I know it won't be though.

It would have to be an immense flop for Nintendo to discount it. Even then Ningendo probably would not, though some retailers might. The only one I can think of is Codename Steam. Unless of course you wait long enough for them to make a Switch Selects line or something.

Also, I'm so excited now it's crazy. I almost can't believe this is happening so soon haha.

Llooll it's ridiculous. I can't imagine living life so concerned about antiquated concepts of masculinity, maturity, whatever.

My sister can post about Candy Crush and it's "different" because it's "free" and on her phone. Meanwhile, at a very boring Thanksgiving this past year, I busted out my laptop with Jackbox Party Pack 3 on it and it was a total hit. People are weird.

1-2 Switch will have it's MSRP throttled by an influx of used copies, I would imagine. It may not be a pack-in, but unless folks have a rotating social circle and a steady stream of people to show it off to, the games will lose their charm after a few plays each. Gamestop will probably throw the used price down to $19.99 within 6 months and it'll be a slope from there.

the only thing that could possibly prevent this from happening is if nintendo released new (free) minigames every couple of months for the next year or two.

Yeah, I will be returning the copy of 1-2 Switch I was forced to buy with my preorder bundle pretty much immediately. If they wont accept the return, I honestly don't know what I'll do with it. It's $50 I really didn't want to spend because honestly I have no interest in that game whatsoever. But I also don't want to just sell it back to GameStop and take a huge hit on the $50. Unless they're offering a decent amount for it used on day one, I'll probably just hang onto it and break it out periodically if I'm with friends. Should've been a pack-in with the console, really.

    Preach.

My mom thinks it's weird when I buy new video games sometimes even though I'm 20 and pretty much everybody my age does it

i don't really give a shit how my parents feel about it. I'm 30, have a job, and not using their money to buy them.

Luckily one half of the equation is pretty indifferent about it.

my parents don't really understand video games, but they don't ever give me a hard time for being so into them at my age (26).

P cool that so many of us are late 20's/early 30's. Those that are capable of wearing their adult pants while still being children, unite!

    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

    27 here.

I was talking about this on GAF a few days ago, but having a PS4 Pro, Xbox One (going all in for Scorpio later this year), and having sold my Wii U toward the Switch launch, I love all of these companies. I enjoy videogames across a wide spectrum of genres and studios. I want to play everything, with no time to, so I play all the critically acclaimed and highly regarded exclusives.

If I were forced by circumstance to only have one console, one device to play games on, I would give up my Playstation and Xbox in lieu of a Nintendo console in a heartbeat. Nintendo makes games, as sparse as they feel sometimes, that enthrall me more than Sony and Microsoft's output combined.

    Personally.

this is going to be my first time owning all 3 of the newest consoles. the xbox is probably the most expendable for me at the moment.

This is also my first time owning all three consoles, and I would also give up my Xbox before any others. The PS4 has been a great purchase, it has a low key great library of couch co op games for me and the girlfriend to play. LBP3 being free on PS+ this month was awesome for us, even if I did wind up spending like $30 on the Adventure Time, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Muppets DLC lol.
