cuphead is a perfect game.

 

Xenosaga not getting remastered bums me out so much

 

I bought Xenosaga as a kid because I thought the cover was cool

 

I've been playing Bloodstained on Xbox and goddamnit, I wish the Switch version wasn't total trash. I need another good portable Castlevania but they botched it.

 

I've read about all the issues it had at release but as someone who only got it two weeks ago I'm enjoying it about as much as the GBA/DS Castlevanias. In 25 hrs I had one crash, some of the random long loads between screens and the slowdown on the tower is weird but I'm definitely enjoying it overall. I don't have other versions of the game to compare it to though haha.

 

gotta say, Witcher III ported way rougher than expected. i heard enough praise for it that i asked for it for Xmas, and while getting it running at all is an accomplishment, there is pop-in and textures fluctuating in every frame. prerendered cutscenes have artifacting all over the place. field of view has taken a smaller hit but the resolution is throttled on the far away stuff so hard it looks like you're riding to a painting rather than a place you're going to get to explore. overall i think they focused too hard on getting the models to look as close to their console counterparts as possible. i think they would have been better suited to compromise the models to add some more to the environment. make the whole thing look like a PS2 game rather than the models look like a PS2.5 and the environment take such a huge hit. the game looks best while you're going full speed on horseback

if this weren't a 250 hour game i would feel differently but i can't imagine how hard of a hit the more cinematic encounters are going to take. i feel so bad because last Xmas my fiancee got me DQXI for PS4 and i ditched it for the Switch version. this year she got me Switcher and i wanna ditch it for the PS4 version lol

Finished the first area in morta. Mark is absolutely awesome.

 

Witcher 3 honestly needs and an Xbox One X lol And even there they make you choose between resolution and framerate

 

Just bought Undertale and reached the skeleton brothers. I hope it gets better.

 

It does, but it stays linear as fuck

 

I don’t mind that. My expectations are just really high after hearing the high praise. Then again, this is a bit early in the game to judge. I’ll post updates when I get to it.

Very VERY late to the game but wanna say I'm loving the Switch. Pokemon is a completely different experience and I bought BOTW which im excited to get going.

 

BotW is an all-time favorite of mine.

Undertale wasnt a favorite of mine but i def dont think its overrated, its novel as fuck top to bottom it just wasnt for me

 

The ending I got in undertale was one of my fav gaming experiences of all time. I also wasn't expecting a deep engrossing game for something that looked like a fuckin NES game lol

 

Nah. It's okay, but that's about it.

I'm not going to stop saying it, so you may as well block me or get used to it. I have every right to say my thoughts on the game every time everyone says how wonderful it is.

I can understand how fans of the series really liked how BOTW was a change of pace from the "stale" formula the franchise used for the previous entries, but for me it lacked the charm and depth of the series. It felt like a bunch of other franchises slammed together with a Zelda skin to me.
