This Nindie was real good except for the awful name of "Dreamscaper".

Stranger's Wrath is so so good and I'm SO EXCITED to play it again.

Also, The Survivalists looks surprisingly interesting mostly because of the monkeys.

 

Can we stop giving numerical sequel names to prequels? Like, in every entertainment industry? It's becoming a big pet peeve of mine. I would honestly rather them use something hacky and unoriginal like "Axiom Verge: Origins" lol

not to be that guy but i've heard Dauntless' combat is considerably worse, and Monster Hunter is all combat! what do you find brainpretzeling about MH?

 

eh brainpretzeling might be a little heavy handed but I put a decent amount of time into Dauntless on Xbox and enjoyed it. I have World and played it a bit too but the arcade-y vibe of Dauntless was more my speed at the time. it's definitely Monster Hunter Lite in the truest form, the combat is more hack/slash than slow/methodical and the environments aren't as lively but upgrading your gear and getting to the fight is very much straightforward. I know it's the hook but I was SO BAD at prepping for a fight correctly and would just end up wasting hours by either dying or reaching the time limit. Dauntless is certainly not as deep but what it does I think it does well.

I want to like and get into MH but I was soloing most of the time and I'm meh on playing with randoms. the free version of that game that's more accessible was an easier sell to friends and we had a blast playing it.

 

thay all makes sense, i love MH but am a shitty ambassador for it and offer no solutions haha
