They only have an album of material to work from and a 45-minute slot. Not much you can do setlist-wise
Have to imagine the vast majority of that audience is not people going to both weekends. They are doing the performance for the people live there with them, not the people streaming on YouTube. Of course it’s the same.
NINoize prompted me to revisit y3arz3ror3mix3d and that might be in my top....5 or 6 NIN releases? I reach for it as least as often as the original. whenever the next proper NIN album happens I would love a more eclectic remix/companion piece next time out with very hands-on guests in that style. (TRON divergence had some of this, but not quite as much fun due to less-interesting source material. do like the pixel grip one a lot tho)
This band will forever remind me of The Crow. Outside of Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral.... What would would be the next 2-3 albums I should check out?
The run from With Teeth to Year Zero to The Slip is my favorite. All of the Ghosts records are great, too, but that's a different thing.
The Fragile, their EP trilogy (Not The Actual Events/Add Violence/Bad Witch), and The Slip are essential. Hesitation Marks is great, albeit more electronic
Yeah the fitting is odd. I’m usually an L in shirts but I do M if it’s a baggy/loose/oversized/relaxed fit. This one was an M and it fits me solidly. I think all merch on that run just fit super fucking weird. I posted a couple pages back about the red hoodie that was huge on me. I also got a tour date shirt on the second leg in a size L that fit me solidly on the body, but ran long. It felt like it was designed for someone a half-foot taller than me or something
The Fragile still blows me away now. I always find or hear something new within it but also feels so comforting and familiar every time, despite it being incredibly dark.
