They just confirmed themselves for the EDM stage at Coachella...I have a feeling this is going to be the visual highlight of the festival.
finally spun the whole mixtape. some great stuff here. would've loved to see it live. it looks like others in the community were able to verify with others in the NIN camp that it was fanmade. still curious how they sourced some of the audio (possibly from soundboards?), as it's pretty clean for the most part, although the dynamics do vary between certain songs, which leads me to believe anything coming directly from the NIN camp would probably be more consistent volume-wise.
someone on the NIN reddit mentioned intercepting signals from their in ear monitors which is so crazy to me lol. Like I know NIN bootleggers are serious but thats some shit I wouldnt even conceive of.
was just about to post the exact same comment, haha. it does look fake, but apparently others in the NIN camp think this might actually be real? gonna see if anyone else snapped a pic of this supposed billboard
i also doubt this would be the case, but i really hope that the "new music" they said they were working on is a proper NIN album and not just a Nine Inch Noize record (which i'm still pumped for if it ever happens). if you exclude scores (Tron), instrumental albums (Ghosts V & VI), and EPs that were labelled as albums for the sake of streaming optimization (Bad Witch), it's been almost 13 years since we've had a proper full-length from them. i enjoy all material they've put out since HM (especially that EP trilogy and large chunks of Tron), but it's been too long without a traditional album from them.
yeah even though the photo looks incredibly fake, folks on Reddit do have a URL for the original Facebook post on Consequence's end that's now been pulled from their Facebook page. my assumption is that one of their employees saw the image posted elsewhere (i think Instagram?) and put it on Facebook, but pulled it down because they couldn't verify its authenticity. edit: looks like folks on Twitter saw it posted there too? and the mixtape got taken down due to a RIAA copyright claim. suspicious stuff going on all around. would love for it to be true, but that image looks fake as hell.
Watch the album be hidden on a USB stick in a porta potty at Coachella...bring back the Year Zero era leaks ha.
i'm gonna assume it's probably a remix album first and foremost, but i wouldn't be upset to get some original collaborations too. hoping more new, proper NIN material is still on the horizon too
