Anaheim show last night absolutely ruled. Only bummer was that the setlist was pretty much identical to the LA show I went to last year. I was really looking forward to seeing some different songs swapped out. Oh well. Despite that, I’m still thrilled I got to catch this tour a second time and it was cool to see it from a different angle. This was my 5th NIN show and I’ll keep seeing them for as long as they keep touring!
Also… rumor is a concert film is being recorded. There were pro cameras around the venue at the SD show on Monday as noted by someone on Reddit. I also happened to see one at the show last night near my section… This would also explain why the setlist the last two shows were identical. And also why they were similar to that of the first leg of the U.S. run
Yeah I was slightly disappointed the SD date was pretty much identical to the LA date I went to other than them playing Parasite instead of Came Back Haunted, but honestly I barely even know (You Made It Feel Like) Home so I was fine getting Right Where It Belongs again
Ah you’re right. I totally forgot CBH was one of the songs they did with Boys Noize. I couldn’t figure out why I had no recollection of them playing Parasite… Because they didn’t play it at that show!
Two more notes about the show I forgot to mention: 1. Stu killed it and he’s been a great addition to the band. Although it’s still weird not seeing Alessandro there 2. People are still hyped that Josh is back in the band lol. When Trent did band intros, Josh once again got the largest response from the crowd. (But it was a hometown show for him after all!)
alright, last night of the tour tomorrow. we know that little commemorative ticket they've given out throughout this leg has the numbers 3, 16, and 26 on it. place your bets if we're getting an announcement tomorrow.
Trent & Atticus's unreleased 2017 score for Banksy's Walled Off Hotel in Palestine has made its way onto the Internet, via a rip of a promo CD someone got their hands on. contains piano-only renditions of multiple NIN songs from The Fragile, Still, and Ghosts I-IV, in addition to piano renditions of cues from TSN, Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, and Before the Flood, as well as a couple new songs.
Well, no announcement or anything, but Trent gave an interesting speech at the Sac show last night: 1. He reiterated that they’d likely tour again, he just wasn’t sure when 2. They’re gonna start on new music! https://www.reddit.com/r/nin/s/y4I5OgAcOV
i think they've been working on new music already, but it's nice to hear that they're committed to the project, especially since Trent said a few years ago that he didn't know if he felt excited by it anymore.
No they've been definitely working on new(er, non soundtrack) music but from the sounds of things they're gonna lock in this year.
I hope they’re working on a Nine Inch Noize release too, I NEED to hear the Boys Noize Closer remix on streaming asap
Logically this has to be coming, why would you do two festival shows as a combined Nine Inch Noize (a FULL SET no less) and then not do anything with the studio remixes we know you've made?
Happy this finally got a release. Sounds so clean for a live recording. I knew they were gonna release something before the Coachella set.
for the record i'm not actually sure if this is an official release from the NIN or Boys Noize camps, but it does sound really good.
This audio sounds like it’s from the soundboard??? Like it is really good sounding for a fan made boot
Have a feeling Trent and the NIN team leaked the audio themselves to get around the hassle of dealing with a label release. They did this in the past when they "leaked" the soundboard recordings for the Lights In The Sky tour and let fans create a live project to share.
