Being at this tour and seeing the cage come down over the band I had no ideas what was about to happen. No one had ever done anything like that before. The hanging lights were such a cool touch…being a tab and a half of acid deep during this show was truly an experience. Loved that they later revisited this staging idea on the Tension tour…this is my all time fav live version of NIN. The 2 female background singers really added something that was never there before.
I had a dream over the weekend that we got a tour announcement today. But I think i'm going to be incorrect, even with rumors flying around.
I also had a NIN dream last night… I had a dream that I went to a coffee shop and Trent was in line and I accidentally cut in front of everyone in line and I was anxious that I pissed off Trent
I keep checking social media and their website every hour on the dot in anticipation. This may be a long week.
If this is Downward Spiral in full I may fall over dead. Right as soon as I hear those pops at the beginning of Mr. Self Destruct, just collapse and die.
I did read on the tour forum that the tour was supposed to be announced today but then got pushed because of the LA fires. Since some dates leaked I was hoping they’d actually go through with the announcement. But since we haven’t heard anything yet, I’m assuming they actually are delayed
I just can’t see Trent going back to arenas just to do a nostalgia tour, he’s never been one to be big on announced album plays. Have a feeling the “Peel it back” name may refer to either new material or a reinvention of the band. He said after the 2023 Cleveland show that he was done with the “rock-centric” format of NIN as a live act. I’m really interested to see what he meant by that. Last time NIN did a full on arena tour was Tension and they reinvented themselves with Pino Palladino on bass, Justin Eustis on synths and 2 backup singers.
Yeah, this is probably what it is. It’s probably gonna be a more laid-back production like they did for Cold & Black, but on a larger scale
