literally the only thing to make me interested in this movie. dare i say it, this might be more fitting than Daft Punk?
never got the appeal of the tron movies, but I do find it funny that THIS is the score to bring the NIN billing back
The original is great, one of my favorite movies of all time just for the esthetic alone. I haven't watched the re-make at all. I'm genuinely interested in what they mean by "NIN" for this movie. Is it reimagined songs? is it properly NIN? Or is that just how they wanted to market it because of Daft Punk the last time?
from what i've heard, it's a score with new, original NIN songs as well. so proper NIN but also a bit of marketing.
I will 100% watch all the the first time just to watch this one. Im sure NIN will be magic to my ears.
the effects in Legacy were surprisingly pretty good for their time (save for the de-aging on Jeff Bridges). worked really well when i saw it in 3D. the dialogue was not that great.
used to be not only my favorite NIN album but my favorite album of all time back when I first got into them in high school (and for quite a while after), but now that title belongs to TDS. still easily my second favorite NIN release and a staggering work of art. hbd
I'd also list The Fragile as my favorite NIN release. It's staggering that he was able to maintain that level of consistency across a double album.
TDS for me. That album was a 5th graders dream 30 years ago and I still play it monthly. I would even rank With Teeth and Broken EP over The Fragile. I do enjoy the The Fragile and has some of my favorite NIN songs, but it is hurt by the length and double album curse. Just my opinion. Half the album is phenomenal other half is filler.
The Fragile is still in my top 5 all-time. It truly takes you for a ride, the sound design is just incredible.
The Fragile will always be my favorite NIN album. So many incredible tracks. Plus, it’s one of the few rare double albums that just works and is consistent throughout. I’d put it up there with Mellon Collie
i believe that GQ interview mentioned they were trying to get a festival off the ground, but i'll honestly take anything from them.
A NIN-curated fest would be so badass. I expected them to tour next year, but having that would rule Wonder if it’ll be in LA?
