LINE BEGINS TO BLUR AH. I’ve also never seen them do Burn, that’s honestly my biggest ‘possible’ song whenever i see them.
good lord, they played Copy of a. HM is severely underrated and needs a greater presence in their setlists.
I love Hesitation Marks, partly because I know it’s the sound of Trent ~finding~ Nine Inch Nails again. And that fucking tour was basically an alien abduction simulation.
I liked Hesitation Marks when it came out, but it lost most replay value for me. I never fall back on that album as much as any of their older stuff. I think even The Slip gets more rotation for me.
I’m probably gonna try and revisit it soon to see if my opinion’s changed but tbh I was/am not into HM that much at all. I’d easily take any of the albums prior to it over it (barring PHM), and the EPs too are way more in my lane and imo some of the most interesting music he’s made since the earlier days of the moniker.
I def like Various Methods of Escape, All Time Low, and the very contentious Everything all a fair amount, outside that? idk
Show was great last night. Lots of newer material was played which was surprising. Only wish we could have got The Becoming, The Wretched, and/ or Into The Void.
I am sooo fucking bummed that I only went to night 1 Philly. Night 2's setlist is epic. Ive seen NIN 7 times in the last 20 years and The Becoming has been my favorite song for almost 30 years and Ive never seen it live.
I have fallen deeply in love with the EP trilogy as of late. also I hope videos pop up of Everything, I love that song. I think it’s one of the most interesting songs he’s done period but especially a standout on HM. I feel like I can understand why a lot of fans are pretty vocal about hating it, but I have always felt like it’s misunderstood kinda.
