Yeah Jenkins is not getting enough credit for his performance in this, goddamn he was good. Might be my favorite performance in the movie.

 

i love her but thought cate was pretty woefully miscast in this. definitely the weak link, along with perlman

 

Thought this was great and the black and white cut is just dripping with atmosphere. Definitely the definitive version imo.

when the wife of the judge held the gun to her face I figured we were about to watch her fully blow her brains out or it would happen off screen and somehow the shot lingering for an extra frame was infinitely more disturbing

Woke up this morning still thinking about this, liked it a good deal more than I was expecting to. Wild to find out that there are people that think Brad was anything less than great in this

Rewatched The Golden Army the other night and my god, what a movie

The first film is great too but I just love how much less convuluted, funnier, and more emotional the sequel is. Probably my favorite comic book adaptation next to Batman Returns
