Yeah. I've moderately enjoyed their output so far but given the people in the band they should be able to do much more
Interesting. I just saw that group on wiki, so I'll have to check it out. On paper they sound like a stellar group though
This always happens sadly with supergroups. There’s so much potential there, but it always turns out just ok. Like Deftones, and ISIS should be a match made in heaven. Though Palms is only ok.
Started listening to this without realizing the vocalist left. I honestly like it more without vocals, but I'm a big instrumental music fan. my favorite song of theirs was one of their instrumental demos from 2011-2012 that never made it to anything...
After hearing the three songs they released I agree. They're not bad, Hunting Season pretty sick, but they leave much to desire.
I liked the EP but since it's only part of the next album I'll probably hold off buying until the whole thing is out. Love Doug's vocals though so I'm sad to see he left the band.
Crap. Aric talks a lot about how the band worked with Ross Robinson and man it bummed me the heck out. He was saying they had written 55 songs, but chose the best 21 and then Ross picked out 11. He mentioned he picked all the slow ones which were five and also basically ignored their vision of the record. Seemed like they got star struck with Ross and allowed him to influence the record way too much imo. He mentioned Ross would pick out parts they didn't even like, but they still went with it. Kinda just rambling now, but dammit.
Heard about this a little while ago... so stoked! My friend’s band is opening for them at their upcoming Anaheim tour date, gonna be sick to see them with a new album out and also support my friend.
Oh shit, Phoenix is probably my favorite song from them so them calling this Phoenix IV sets a high bar for me
