Pretty weird to just release literally half your album and then ghost-out for like a year lol.

 

Definitely. Maybe it took longer to finish the second half than she expected? Hope it's not too much longer though.

 

It kind of makes the album feel disjointed knowing that though.

Like we literally have tracks 1-6 now(that I've only allowed myself to listen to a few times)....and then...tracks 6-12 are just going to be put out like a year later? Why not just make them different EPs? Or scrap this and just make 6 other songs along with the 6 they've been making?

Not sure why someone would want to release half of their album and vanish, doesn't seem like a good idea all around.

Also keep in mind, there was an entire album before this (Hillbilly Noir) that was completely scrapped after being finished. Endlessly curious about that album.

I really hope she releases some sort of statement about this whole album's release period, because it seems so odd.

 

She did an interview recently where she said the other half is still very much the same vibe but a bit weirder. She also spoke a little bit on Hillbilly Noir and it seems like some of that album may still be in here. Idk, it's definitely weird but I haven't even listened to all of the songs from the first half yet so I'm hoping when she finally puts it out it won't feel disjointed or weird for me.

Was totally unaware of this entire half an album being released earlier this year and subsequent silence shit until reading this thread but it's hit me hard and I'm upset now :(

Natural Born Losers was excellent and made me feel things I didn't know I could feel.
