How does this compare to his AAL stuff? I can't listen to his first album any more as it reminds me of a particular shitty time of my life, but I really dug the AAL project.

 

This is pretty much the opposite of those AAL records. It's basically ambient.

 

With vocals? That was one of the things I never really got on with when it comes to stuff he's released under his own name.

 

Yeah. I don't think he sings on all tracks but his voice still figures prominently into the record.

 

Pablo Larrain's film Ema, for which Nico did the incredible dancehall/reggaeton indebted soundtrack for, is streaming on MUBI for the next month-ish (idk if it's available in all regions).

Not sure how many people are familiar with Psychic Live—which is absolutely phenomenal—but they surprise dropped another live Darkside set last week. Must listen stuff.

 

I never got into Telas. Need to give it another try.
