I’ve heard people speculate that she doesn’t like those songs for years now. It makes sense to me because I’m pretty sure at heart she’s a rapper-ass rapper. They did bring money and fame though so yeah it’s easy for her to say she has regrets now that she has those things.

 

What makes this all hilarious/hypocritical is that 8 years ago she cancelled her headlining Summer Jam set 4 hours before showtime because she heard that one of Hot 97's DJs said Starships is pop and not real rap. Screwed over the 60,000 fans in attendance.

 

He’s also the guy that started saying that there’s no way she likes those songs I think lol

 

Never has she been more true to herself than releasing a song named Yikes because boy YIKES
