Hot take but I think he’s not a great actor

 

yeah but I'm not telling anyone to watch that

 

I didn’t love him in this but the bar scene was pretty affecting

 

i don't necessarily love him as an actor (great musician) but I thought his performance in this was great. conveyed a lot while unable to see much of anything as a viewer

 

yeah I should clarify I thought he was great in this but just in general I think he’s average.

 

The bar scene is phenomenal

listened to RaMell Ross’s interview on The Big Picture while traveling last week, dude has a crazy life story

 

Blindspotting good but kinda agree with grimmy on Daveed

Finally just sat for this. Been slacking but knew I had to catch this while still in a theater

 

Man. I am so impressed with the care and craftsmanship that went into this. RaMell is one hell of a storyteller. There are so many things here that he chooses to show us that feel uniquely essential. I lowkey dread reading the book now a bit as this was quite affecting enough, but am very intrigued about the source material that inpsired this vision. Can’t wait to finally throw on the Fennessey interview in the morning

 

great movie. watched at home but will need to revisit in a theater ASAP.

 

Holy shit. Brilliant, perfect film.
