Adore Pink Moon.
Most obvious statement ever?
God I love all his music. All his songs sound like a journey or a smaller piece of a journey
His discography has been in regular rotation since high school. I feel like his songs spoke to a greater beauty than most folk of the era.
It's officially fall. Time to listen to Pink Moon over and over and over.
A top 5 album ever for me. Perfect in every way.
Yes. Pink Moon in the fall.
From the Morning is soooooo beautiful. Apparently the lyrics are meant as a sort of suicide note since its the last song he ever wrote? Not sure where I heard that, but yeah.
Celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Nick Drake’s “Pink Moon” with Artists on Bandcamp
Pink Moon turned 45 last Saturday, here's some artists on Nick Drake
Timeless album. A masterpiece, once of the best pieces of art ever created
Yeah legitimately perfect.
Yep yep yep
Place To Be is my favorite song of all time.
It is a perfect album. Also because it fits perfectly in my morning commute hehe
I pair it with Joni Mitchell's "Blue" often. Perfect early morning drive music.
It's 62 degrees in Michigan right now. You best believe I'm spinning Pink Moon.
I love all his albums. But it's hard to find anyone whose favorite album is Five Leaves Left. Well it's my favorite. Especially 'Fruit Tree'. It used to tear me apart inside. Yet he sings not to shout out about it but to whisper. I always feel immeasurable weight in his words.
Your first and only post on the site is in the Nick Drake thread?
I think we've found the best poster
Actually, I signed in few minutes ago just so I can join this forum. I used to go to Nick Drake forum here: Nick Drake.com but it's closed now probably because there aren't enough number of active users to keep it going. Thanks for the welcome.
Van the Man fan as well?
I really enjoy Pink Moon and it's p much perfect songwriting. Was talking to a friend about it and he told me it was his least favorite of his albums. Since he was the one who got me Pink Moon I was only dimly aware he had other work, so I'm very excited to check out the rest of his discog
Pink Moons my fav, though i love his discography. Pink Moon is just him at his peak. A man, a guitar, and his lyrics. There's incredible beauty in that
It's the only album I view on the same level as Astral Weeks. Otherworldly, transcendent, unrivaled
I know him but have never listened to him. Will listen. Are you a fan of him?
My favorite artist of all time, listen to Astral Weeks. Nick Drake vibes
