well if the NBA only had 7 teams make it then fewer under .500 teams would get in. obviously if the NFL expanding to 8 postseason teams then more under .500 squads would get in.

as of right now only two under .500 teams are in line to make the postseason in the NBA

 

I think people are focusing on a few bad teams who made the playoffs because of winning their division instead of thinking of the way more good teams who missed.
