This is an impossible question because my rankings could change every day for multiple reasons and each iteration would be equally valid, but I’ll give it a shot, hahaha

Grist for the Malady Mill is a pretty odd choice for overall favorite. I absolutely adore that song but I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone say it’s their favorite, kudos bud

Legit question - do you look up the song titles before posting them or do you just remember them?

I feel like most music knowledge faded after high school. I can recall most songs I love from around that time because (I assume) I spent so much time listening to them that it just got stuck in my memory. But I don’t think I could name a favorite song without playing the song and looking at the track list from any album of the last 8ish years besides a very select few.

 

Mostly remember but sometimes look up

 

I remember album and song titles for most albums I loved growing up and helped form my taste in music. Nowadays I can remember them only if I truly love them, like mewithoutYou.

 

I bet if I was quizzed or something, I can name each album and song in order from their discography. Maybe MAYBE at like 95% accuracy at worst.

Ten Stories slaps and is super underrated, but Untitled just jumped ahead of it for me yesterday and the other three already ahead of it just slap harder. Sorry boo

“It’s all crazy” is a departure from their “normal” sound but my god do I absolutely love it. Easily the funnest album of theirs to sing along to. And the lyrics are still extremely good, music too.

I love that this is a mwY thread now haha. My co-worker played Catch For Us The Foxes at work over the speakers yesterday, it was legit

 

First song I heard if theirs was January 1979

 

First song I heard was February 8

 

I saw them open for Norma Jean, had never heard of them and was only watching them waiting for Norma Jean to melt my face, back when they were good :P

They were touring [A->B Life] and opened with Bullet to Binary and all wearing big thick Alaskan winter coats and they played and I never recovered. That was 17 years ago this month actually, damn.
