This is pretty good. Being as close to even as possible.

 

The beauty of paying for the wedding is if you play the credit card game right, you can nail some major travel for free. My wife and I turned our wedding spending into a companion pass and did like 8-9 flights last year off the points.

 

I wish I had done that. I got into the churning game too late but since our wedding in October I've also gotten the Companion Pass (used it once so far and it's awesome) and am just about to complete a bonus on another card for 80,000 Chase UR points. Makes the cost of house repairs not feel so bad.
