If the cap hit isn’t $20M+ you definitely should never ever give up a day one or day two pick just to shed the contract. That is really foolish. As @preppyak said, losing Gurley doesn’t save them enough money to be a smart cap saving move compared to the like 8 other things they could do to clear some cap.

 

If you really wanna “get rid of him” trade him for a conditional 7th round pick to a team with space that needs playmakers. You’d get some takers. Literally no reason to also give away a pick that should draft you another starter, to not even save enough money to sign a CB2

Today has been so mind-numbingly stressful and it's only 11am. We signed on with this new platform and they have given us absolutely zero guidance on how to use it and their training shit is terrible and i'm getting more and more frustrated with it every time I try.
