humans are the worst: one of our managers wrote on ONE sheet paper "shred this please" and then set it on the desk of the person who sits next to the shredder.

by the time they were done writing the note they could have fucking shredded it themselves. it's literally 1 foot from where they left the paper - and not a stack of papers, literally just ONE sheet of paper to be shredded. and they know where the shredder is and what it is, they fucking used it last week.

So my son was in a car accident two weeks ago with my mother in law (both are fine) and the EMT told us to take him to the ER to make sure he didn't have any injuries that he couldn't detect. We were seen for five minutes by the nurse practitioner and were billed $3,250 for that service. Now this goes through my car insurance in NJ and I just have to pay a $500 deductible. But

1. The base charge for stepping foot into that ER is $3,250 regardless of how long or what care you get which is insanity.
2. It's nice that my car insurance will cover this because I would have to pay more if it went through health insurance, but still, $500 for basically no care is absurd.

Medicare for all people. Please vote Bernie in your primaries.

 

And I can't wait to see what 4 days in the hospital will cost from this past weekend.
