I've snapped on more customers this month than Fuck You and I've been out of work for 3 and a half weeks

 

Customers feel the need to bust my balls because we are out of product and that I shouldn't be allowed to wear gloves, I told the guy I don't come to work to get my balls broke or get lectured by some stranger.

The theory of it isnt crazy; the Dolphins can only offer picks (which, 5/18/26 would be damn hard to beat), but, the Lions need to know their guys can perform in 2020. As a normal GM, I'd take the Dolphins offer any day. If I'm Patricia/Quinn, and the Pats offered me 3 of my needs (OL, WR, OLB) in players (Edelman, Hightower, Thuney) and their 1st rounder, that might weirdly be better. Or hell, Lions RBs cant stay healthy for shit, maybe they want Burkhead or White instead.

Again, Lions taking 5/18/26 probably get those same positions in cheap, younger forms...but, do they want to take the chance they'll miss? As was pointed out, they're actively signing past Pats rosters in free agency...

 

I would trade Edelman, White and Hightower for Tua so fucking fast your head would spin.

 

We did a virtual one for my niece-in-law which was kind of fun. Everyone had their own decorations up and we got microwave cakes on our end so we could all have cake.

But my in-laws live like 4 blocks away and didnt even show up in person for it, because they're both 60+ and have some healthy issues.

 

It makes sense BUT I feel like if we play the "Lions doing X would be a very Lions thing to do" game we also have to play the "Washington trading out of CY would be a very Washington thing to do" game as well and then the ball is still in the Dolphins' court

Edelman is actually a crazy value in a trade. All his cap hit is signing bonus and roster bonuses...so he's basically on a 2yr/~$7mil deal for one of the most consistently productive WRs in the league.
