Two late, even when Minshew was playing some of his worst footaball. And I think their middle two wins were during the "Ramsey is *hurt*" incidents. Though Im betting they wish they lost those last two, were 4-12, and were sitting at the #5 pick over Miami right now.

Still, its a very different conversation if at #9 an Okudah or Simmons falls to them, and if one of the top 3 WRs falls to them at #20. Or conversely if one of the top tackles is there at 9 and they take CB/WR at 20. Then it might actually make a decent difference for Minshew not having to scramble and for Chark not to have to be the focus

I have my mind and heart set on Jeaux Burreaux, but that's a pretty damn tempting offer. I'm not sure if Mike Brown would take it tho

    Mike Brown loves QBs.

  5. Panthers could be bottom 5 or a sneaky wildcard contender that misses out of the playoffs by a game. I think the offense will be pretty good. Some nice weapons, OL slowly coming together, best RB in the league, healthy QB, new boy genius OC. Could be a fun unit to watch.

The defense however....looks rough right now. They’ve made a couple under the radar signings that I liked. But there a several holes. We lost 7 starters from the defense. They’ve set up in free agency to go heavy on defense in the draft. So we could add 2 starters that way. But the defense is still another offseason away from being good.

Panthers will have the first overall pick, Jags the second.

I don’t think the Panthers will be bad enough for a top two pick, but I can see it happening

I think that Rhule signing is both good and bad.

Bad because I don't think he'll be a good head coach.
Good because I do think he'll install good culture and Joe Brady will take over.

Yeah - running it up the middle on a 2 point conversion is a terrible idea. That’s the first thing the defense is gonna try to stop.

I do remember Minshew’s bad games. I also remember him winning more than Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones with, what you guys are saying is a worse team.

omg Randall you keep doing this. We're saying they're objectively worse now than they were last year since you know...they're without Ramsey, and Yannick, and Campbell and Bouye. If you're going to continue to keep this argument going than stop misrepresenting it.

I also remember the Jags having a lot of draft picks. We’ll see how that plays out before I decide whether or not the Jags are headed south this season.

I hate losing all the players we lost but the fact is they already quit on the team. Coughlin & Caldwell probably took away their passion for playing for the Jaguars and made them think more about their careers and futures. I don’t think that we were much better with them at this point. They all needed a fresh start.

As bad as we are right now, we were already this bad once Ramsey got traded. It deflated the whole team and made the Jags a joke.

Only Randall can tell us the team isn't much better with Ramsey, Campbell, Bouye, and Ngakoue than without them.

  19. My worry is that the offense will look good, before the roster flipping is done, and Brady will be stolen from us.

I don’t think you’re necessarily wrong about Rhule. Although, I think saying saying he’ll be a bad coach but then saying he’ll install a good culture is contradicting. I think he was brought in to be the CEO/GM type coach. It’s pretty clear to me he’s calling the shots on roster/personnel decisions. I think Hurney is just there to help with contracts and numbers. Rhule is going to let Brady run the offense, and he’ll let Snow run the defense. I’m pretty sure they’ve hired a guy like Baltimore has that will be there to help with on-field analytics (like when you go for it, when you challenge etc). So, saying he’ll build a good culture is him doing what I interrupt as what we hired him for.

I mean I love Campbell / Bouye but nobody was stopping the run. We got in a hole repeatedly because nobody was even fighting to get into run gaps. No one wanted to bust their ass that hard for Tom Coughlin. Most blowout losses were not because the other team passed all over us.

Ramsey doesn’t even count cause he stopped playing after week 3. Idk why you keep bringing him up. He was the first to be like “fuck this” and I’m sure when your best player decides he’s done it damages the willingness of your whole team to do the same thing.

Apparently not bad enough to make you believe they’ll finish 5-11 or worse.

Does the AFC South play the NFC West this year? If so, I am absolutely here for the Cardinals wrecking the Jags.
