    Teams Picking above the Jags:

Bengals: Getting Burrow, bound to improve a little
    Bonercats: Will still stink
    Lion: Getting healthy Stafford back
Giants: 2nd year with a better QB prospect and better RB and equally horrid defense
    Miami: Waaay better
Chargers: May stink or may be great. Life as a chargers fan
Panthers: Bound to be better with a healthy qb and a good offseason
    Cardinals: Waaay better
    Jags: Significantly worse.

You don’t see any chance at all of sliding into the top 5?

The Giants offense is not better post OBJ. I disagree with that. I also am gonna continue to say that so far, Minshew is playing better than Daniel Jones.

Well my thing is if you trade out of Burrow you have to get Tua. So 5 doesn’t guarantee that so they’d have to unload all the assets they just got just to move back up for Tua or risk looking BAAAAAD

You can cover your ears all you want but I will absolutely take Saquon, Tate, Shepard, Slayton, and Engram over Fournette, Chark, Westbrook, Conley, and whoever the hell they were throwing out there at TE every single day of the week

Jags have a much better O line and it’s not close.

Chark and Westbrook is not that far off Tate and Shepard - they’re close enough that it wouldn’t be farfetched for Chark and Westbrook to outperform them next year.

Like, 5, 18, 26 is MORE than Washington gave up for RGIII, truthfully. Three first rounders and a 2nd, but where two of the 1sts are future years is definitely not as much trade value as three current 1st rounders.

And with Cincy being both cheap as hell and clearly not caring about their fanbase, weirdly I could see them doing it. But, if Im Miami, I think I'd rather offer less for Tua and have an extra 1st

Like, the Giants has games last year where they absolutely put up points last year. Losing OBJ sucks but it’s not like they had an abysmal offense.

Okay, but what I’m saying is that the Jags offense can be as good as the Giants was in 2019 and still finish 4-12. It’s not that hard to imagine. In fact, it’s very easy

Yep, lost games with 27, 26, and 21 points, and scored 24+ in all of their wins

I just don’t think Minshew / Chark / Fournette are gonna get out-scored 12 times. I see us going at least 5 or 6 wins. Giants may have better skill positions but our line is better and that goes a long way in helping our young QB be consistent.

Not like any of this matters though. If we finish with the #1 overall pick then give me Trevor Lawrence I would only be happy with that in the long run lol

Minshew Chark and Fournette are like “fine” idk where this is all coming from but whatever it’s Stidham SZN so idc about about anything else

Jags are gonna select Derrick Brown ninth overall, finish with a top five draft pick, and you’re gonna be in here wondering how that could possibly happen

I want to live in a world where Derrick Brown makes a game winning strip sack in a meaningless week 17 game that takes the Jags out of consideration for Lawrence/Fields

I love how every other young QB gets “bound to improve” but Minshew gets “headed for regression”

Nice lil double standard you got there lol

Also the Panthers didn’t use hardly Cam at all last year, I don’t think “healthy quarterback” really means much there. We could have a good offseason just like they could, in fact we have a whole extra first, fourth and fifth round pick over them.

Well...let’s see. Of the young QBs above, Kyler Murray gained a Deandre Hopkins so idk, bound to get better there.

Daniel Jones you liked an awful lot more than me and told me he’s a stud so I was just going off your evidence there.

I said the Bengals would improve because Burrow is better than whatever they were playing when they were actively trying to lose and it’s hard not to improve on #1 overall

Miami I said as a team is way better because, well, they are.

Also I said Minshew could regress, not that he was bound to, but nice little straw man you got there.

They’re really not just “fine” lol. You are talking about one of the better young skill position trios in the league.

Minshew is better than you think, Chark took a GIANT LEAP last year compared to how he was coming out of college, and one thing nobody gives Fournette enough credit for aside from his rushing skills is being one of the best pass protectors at RB in the league, he’s a much better third down back than anyone thinks he is, people talk about him like he’s a bruiser only and that’s not true.

Me: You May not be taking some possibilities into consideration, such as the possibility of regression
Randall: “Dave says Minshew is 100% gonna regress”
Randall: I hate when people purposefully misrepresent my argument.

    Fournette is absolutely just fine.

The issue is you only ever talk about Minshew regressing as if it’s wrong to look at it any other way

He’s not elite but saying he’s “fine” is just willfully obtuse lol.

It’s really not considering they almost went 5-11 with him on the roster

1600 total yards on a team that was constantly trailing, top notch blocking for a RB, and a respectable 4.3 YPC with that much volume is not just “fine”.

I want to see him build on that and do even better next year, granted, if he wants to be signed. But he was far from just being average.

Only averaging 4.3 ypc with “top notch” blocking is a problem considering 4 ypc is generally considered the bar
