Minshew is too on brand not to try and move forward with. Hes more Jacksonville than most other QBs are to their respective cities

Cam is not healthy. His arm was dwindling before his foot injury too.

 

I also don't think Tu'a is falling to 9. I was just pointing out how Randall wasn't even considering the Jags taking him in a scenario he laid out.

Also, Minshew is cheaper and younger and less of a risk. No way I touch Cam

 

I'm just sayin, I get it, maybe I was wrong about Blake Bortles for a long time, but the flip side is, you were wrong about Dak Prescott for a long time.

 

My point wasn't necessarily advocating go get Cam, more so they should still be looking at their options and maybe having a really good backup just in case.

Thats a stance I didn't think through and backed off of.

Would definitely strongly consider. But I do think, retrospectively, if teams actually knew what Minshew was in the draft? He'd have been picked at pick 9.

The problem is Bortles was just a dude from Jacksonville. Not an icon like Minshew. Minshew is better than all of them. Bortles IS all of them.

I said it. If teams thought he could deliver anticipation and pocket presence from under center and throw limited interceptions right out of the gate, they would have picked him top 10.

 

So Gardner Minshew would have more potential than these players in this hypothetical?

Not accounting for the guys that might've been drafted higher (for example AJ Brown) in a redraft?

I'm a big fan of Minshew and his potential but I do not see that at all

 

Washington or Denver wouldve taken him.
