Eliminating colors is neither good or bad. Bucks cream on Green is much easier on the eyes the green purple and their branding is much sharper now too. Pistons had to return to their older look, it’s not adventurous and that’s okay. Agree that the grizzlies throwbacks are super dope though but not all adventurous uniforms are great. The Cavs for example get uniforms wrong almost every time

 

The Bucks redesign team literally went to the great lakes and took pictures of the sky and water, basically came up with an average blue color of each photograph, and used that blue.

People online were like: Cool blue I like it.

Always thought that was so funny just HOW much effort that team put in.

NBA uniforms are weird bc so many of the classic or old school designs are just outrageous without a shred of professionalism. But they look cool so we tolerate it. I loved the bucks old unis but the current ones are stunning too. Clean and modern without looking plain. Gorgeous color schemes across all the variations.

 

Michael Weinstein has made almost every NBA logo better and it drives me crazy:

Their career is playing a game for a demographic that is 1/3 drunk, 1/3 children, and 1/3 depressed people (whether they're aware of it or not). Fuck your boring color scheme and design give me a teal flaming horse versus a purple raptor with a basketball

 

Same with the Dolphins logo. Bring back the regular looking dolphin in a football helmet, as if a helmet is going to save the dolphin, who is either playing on land and therefore dead or playing in the water and therefore has a HUGE advantage over us.

Idk how many of these I’d call better but i did like the majority of them. Most of these redesign articles are usually frighteningly bad or generic.
