The identity comes from consistency, if they’d started their franchises with a different logo/uni and refused to change it for decades they’d still be well branded and iconic. Might as well have at least started with more attractive ideas.
Also you followed up calling the cardinals uni a template by advocating for a white T-shirt!

they don't change it because it is perfect and it is recognizable - the Dolphins and Patriots had some of the best uniform sets in the 1980s and changed it for the worse

 

Pats uniforms in the 80s were bad.

 

the numbers are stupid and make no design sense - the color combination is good and again a huge improvement over what they had prior but the numbers completely spoil it

 

To be fair the Vikings never wore these.

I think the league should get away from all the ugly sleeve and pant striping. It all screams dated. That’s in large part why I like the ones I do so much. There’s a way to look timeless without looking old.

edit: Like why on earth do the rams throwbacks have a white stripe on the pants? Why break up yellow with white? It just looks like they felt they had to add something and it looks horrifying.

Eliminating color is for cowards. Pistons had a dope color scheme and logo and opted for cowardice and entry level graphic design.

Vikings helmets are good and their color rush were awesome

Ravens all black from a few years ago (no striping on pants) were awesome too

 

Titans uniform is also super cool.

 

I forgot the Vikings changed their uniforms recently. When I was bashing them I was referring to the one in that Farve picture. Those, along with the Cards and Falcons that are similar, are trash.
