Every time I watched Fromm this year, he was missing some of the easiest throws imaginable. I legit can't even imagine an NFL team being down two scores and their QB being Jake Fromm and thinking they are still in the game.

 

Coaches will love him and it's why he could go a lot higher than projected.

Georgia chose him over Jacob Eason and Justin Fields. There's a lot more to those decisions than people realize.

He is very smart, takes good care of the football, and he'll give you a little bit more than a game manager.

Again, not a ton of upside but he could turn into solid starter.

 

This is very true.

Just as its very true that the Bears chose Trubisky over Watson and Mahomes.

 

Comparing draft selections to depth charts makes no sense to me.

Trubisky, Deshaun, and Mahomes weren't all on the same roster competing all offseason.

 

Acting like a team can't make the wrong choice makes no sense to me

I wouldn’t argue if you put Fromm over Love, but I prefer Love’s upside

 

I’m torn on this. Eason/Fromm was a no brainer. Fromm was a better college QB than Eason and Eason floundered any time he saw game action his sophomore year - I’d just strongly prefer Eason as a pro QB.

Fromm/Fields was less so. After Fields showed up this year, I have no issue saying that Fields is definitely the better QB of the two. It was a bad decision in that regard, but I can’t say I blame them for sticking with the QB who led them a play away from winning a national championship, rather than keeping a guy based on potential. I’m also skeptical that the incredibly vanilla play calling UGA has had under Chaney and now Coley would have led to the same results as Fields in the Ohio St offense

 

Yeah, assuming you have a QB in front i'd rather focus on upside.

 

Cole McDonald is another QB I’d take over Jordan Love

Love was bad without Matt Wells

Probably smart. No idea if he'll get reps outside his Sr. year but a solid showing could put him top 10. Doesn't hurt that he's getting stronger and less vulnerable with his body.
