I completely agree. You're rarely going to find a CB like Jones hit FA any given year. Even if he's not one of the best corners in the league, he's proven over the last two years that he's good and I'll pay up for that certainty. I'm not gonna pay up for the uncertainty Cooper would bring considering we have five years worth of data across two different teams and four different schemes (Del Rio, Gruden, Garrett, Moore) that shows Cooper has been very inconsistent

They haven't been money on drafting CBs either. If you'd rather the Eagles sign a second tier CB, then we might as well just keep Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills. I do have a feeling Mills will be back though

 

I think I'm just scared as well because the Eagles have thrown money to CBs and we know how that worked out lol.

 

If I'm the Eagles I'd go Amari or Jones and draft whichever position I dont sign. For a team like the Jags or Falcons, better to draft a corner than sign Jones.

 

I can just imagine a world where DJax gets hurt, misses six straight weeks, and Cooper goes over 50 yards in only two of those weeks when we really need him most. That's just the Cooper way.

 

I just think if you swing at Justin Jefferson or a 2nd round WR there's a better chance he ends up good than there is if you swing at like Jaylon Johnson
