Gimme a 300lb DT that's as fast as a lot of TEs in the class

I will say this -

The only good Wawas are in rural or outer suburban areas.

A high traffic Wawa is probably very inconsistent quality and less fresh ingredients.

 

This is the opposite of how that would work considering a busier location would go through ingredients much quicker

 

“Fast” is really not that important for that position compared to other traits

It’s easy to see a player’s highlights when you’re watching them but it’s hard to see which DT made which mistake that gave up a big play. I see Gallimore as flashy but he specifically needs to play 3 technique, cause he is just all over the place when it comes to run fits & play recognition.

If Gallimore backed it up with a strong base and didn’t overrun plays so often, he’d be valued higher like a Geno Atkins or a Sheldon Richardson, but he certainly has bust potential / could just be a rotating guy if he don’t get his act together. That can be a huge liability.

 

The same is also true of Davis

 

I disagree. I don’t think Davis is a liability against the pass or run. Alabama is very conservative with their DTs. Depending on how teams use him, he, like Jonathan Allen / Jarran Reed, could revitalize his pass rushing threat in the NFL. I consider Davis closer to being a 3 down player for most teams than Gallimore.

 

Can we at least argue about good food and not trash fast food

 

I like Davis but theres something to be said for a player that is single handedly running a defense versus one that plays on an elite roster. OU has maybe two draftable guys outside of Gallimore. Theres maybe two guys on Alabama that arent getting drafted.

 

No. It’s the opposite. A slower location typically has better order cycles and can sync up exactly how much product they will need with how much business they will do. Busy places tend to over- order because running out of things loses them more money, and that means they’re stocking shit longer. (Also less stress = more precise managers & management, a busy wawa’s employees are stretched very thin.)

Superica is busy as shit and they yet often have quality control issues & stocking issues. The freshness of the restaurant is at its best in slower periods.

 

This is fair! Oklahoma doesn’t exactly produce run stopping DTs in general though... he’s strictly getting drafted high because he could be a scary interior rusher. He’s an upside / risk & reward DT.

I would classify Raekwon as more NFL ready, better technique and more well rounded, excellent run defender while still not exactly being a slug when it comes to pass rush. He’s not a pure nose tackle he would work very well in an aggressive 4-3. He doesn’t have Neville’s high sack potential but honestly as a building block, Raekwon might do more for our defense overall.

 

It shouldnt be the opposite.
