Honestly think the Chargers offensive line is so trash that they’re better off with a mobile guy like Tyrod this year than throwing a rookie in there and expecting positive results in year one

But if a rookie is playing then at least they’ve got a bunch of capable receivers to throw to

 

I always thought the Chargers wanted Love and with the Phins smoke screening I'm convinced. We will see

 

I wouldn't be shocked if the Chargers took a QB there, especially if Tua falls to them. If Tua is gone though, I'd rather see them take Simmons or an offensive tackle. Hell, sign Teddy if FA and have him compete with Tyrod. I think Teddy would thrive in LA with Allen, Williams, Henry, and Ekeler to throw to if they can just bring in new offensive tackles.

 

Yeah with the QB carousel crazier than ever it's so hard to project things. Miami, LAC, Carolina, Vegas, Indy, TB. Maybe even NOLA and Chicago in the mix.

 

LAC is in a weird position because they have so much talent on both sides of the ball. You could argue they're a playoff capable team, but they're short...a quarterback. Do they risk wasting the primes of many of these players on a rookie QB if he doesn't end up working out, or do they go after a veteran capable of taking this team back to the playoffs?

It's a fascinating offseason for so many teams right now and I'm hoping free agency doesn't get pushed back even though I think it will and it's for the best.

See, I think Brady would die behind that offensive line as it is now, but, if Telesco tell Brady "We are upgrading our OT position this offseason" by signing Conklin at RT and Peters/Whitworth at LT, then it would be a great move for the team because they have the roster to win now.

I also think they're a great team to maximize the value of a guy like Isaiah Simmons if they took him at 6 overall considering they've been creative in their usage with Derwin James. Having those two chess pieces on their defense would be huge for them.
