Henry was never going to be a Patriot. Every since Gronk left everyone has been projecting them to invest heavily in TE. BB is refusing out of spite.

 

I didn't want him. I've been in on Blake Jarwin. Henry was always gonna be too expensive.

 

I think Bill just thinks "You've got to replace Gronk!" is stupid. You don't just replace a top 3 all time at their position player. You try to strengthen other areas instead. Also Gronk retired late so the Tight Ends they wanted, Jared Cook, were already signed.
