Round 3 is not "investing high" for a pass rusher. Campbell is not a long term option, Smoot isn't good.

 

Okay i was very obviously responding to you saying third round when i said that lol. So again, dont argue semantics when its obvious what i was saying.

Let's go with - I dont think we take a DE with our first four picks.

 

I can disagree with you saying that third round is "investing high in a DE' though which means i just disagree with your reason why we won't do it. Like, I'm responding to the context here - I don't see that as a position we would overlook because it's a pretty core position and we are about to lose one of the most talented young players at that position. Maybe round 1 or round 2 is too rich, but round 3 is a good spot to find upside prospects at a position that normally gets drafted very high.

 

If you guys get quarantined together because of bagel, someone may die.

 

I think we would take a DE in round 3 just like we took Yannick when we had Fowler and took Smoot when we had both those guys.

You need several capable DE's to have a good pass rush. Even if you have two, your pass rush disappears when they need a breather if you don't have depth.

I'm gonna say it because he won't. Matt's anxiety is very triggered by health concerns, like probably one of his biggest triggers. This is a place where a lot of us come to escape the harsh realities of daily life, to escape the arguments in the politics thread and the hysteria on facebook.

Y'all are free to say whatever you want wherever you want, no one is saying you CAN'T. But we all like Matt here and care about his feelings. Let's be considerate of the fact that some people don't want to talk about something that terrifies them in EVERY online channel / community they're a part of. We have plenty of other places to discuss this lol.
