Excited for Peyton to officially be elected to the HOF tonight. He’s the player that ignited my love of football, and the mix of how meticulous he was and how effortless he made the QB position look was truly a joy to watch

we’ll see — I’m guessing Manning, Woodson, and Megatron are 3 of the spots and then it’s anyone’s guess who of Faneca, Boselli, Thomas, Lynch, Seymour, Holt, Wayne, or a couple of the older fringe guys is arbitrarily prioritized this year

I’d probably pick Faneca and Thomas if I had to pick 2 of the group (but also would love it if Manning and Wayne went in in the same class), but they should all be HOFers in the next 3 years so I don’t really care too much about what order they do it

 

Boselli

 

Looking at that list, yeah, I'm thinking Megaton/Peyton/Woodson are all 1st time locks. I think all the other WRs cancel each other out. I like Faneca's odds. I kind of wonder if a bunch of the DBs cancel each other out too

 

No problem with 20k fans in their stadium...but a parade is too much?

Megatron shouldnt be in until Boselli is. Theres already a line of rare elite players who cut their career short. Calvin doesnt get to jump it.

 

Patrick Willis not being a finalist again kinda worries me for Kuechly. Similar stats, careers and situations

 

It amazes me when someone you know is never gonna get in or you know it’ll be one of those where they’ll get in but it’ll be several decades, like rodney harrison and you wonder why they even keep ending up as finalists in the first place.

 

Surprised to see LeRoy Butler as a finalist. Went to look at his stats and seasons and he had a five season stretch where he had 6, 3, 5, 5, 5 interceptions as a strong safety. That seems pretty crazy but I don’t know enough about safeties to know if that’s normal but that seems rare.

 

He was the best safety in the 90s

 

It’s a travesty that jokers like John Lynch and Steve Atwater are in the hall and not Leroy

 

Yeah LeRoy Butler is getting snubbed. Dude was a 4 time first team all pro, on the 90s all decade team, and has a super bowl win. In at least the top 3 of his position almost every year he played. This should be an easy one imo

 

I want Calvin in first ballot but I think they’re going to make him wait

I wouldn’t. As much as I’d like to guarantee the WR, I’d rather have the picks. The team is more than one piece away
