I think I could take @Randall Mentzos in a game of Madden.

 

I think what would happen is I would beat Randall in a veeeeeerry annoying, frustrating way and he would come in here and be like "that's not real football, no one calls that many slants and he didn't have a single anticipation throw in the entire game" and i'd be like, no this isn't football, this is Patrick, and i'd put on my cool guy sunglasses and explosions would happen behind me but I wouldn't look because cool guys don't look at explosions.

 

Hopefully I’d respond more maturely like “alright. I stand corrected. You CAN beat me with 45 HB dives” but... in the heat of the moment I doubt it hahahaha

do your worst. All I can say is, my whole Madden strategy: I do not trust the AI in coverage lol. If you’re doing something a lot and the AI is not adapting, and it’s starting to bother me, I will quickly handle it myself and force you to do something else haha

I do make coverage mistakes but I think throughout the course of the game I’ve done a good job teaching myself to keep track of those mistakes and not make them again.

 

I was in the AP madden league and someone complained I was using "cheese plays" so I called cover 3 out of the nickel and HB dive only.

I won by 35+.

oh lol, I just looked it up. @CarpetElf does both of these things to a decent extent. I don’t consider them “cheating” there are ways to stop them. I could see why those things were unstoppable in old maddens though.

nowadays Those are just the reasons why you have to get good at audibles / sliding protection / knowing when to add blockers... and playing LBs and secondary not just DL.

That’s also the reason you need superstar / X factor players in the right spots lol so that they can match the playmaking
