right but my point is the New England system was so good during that era that a garbage QB like Matt Cassell could win 11 games

Unquestioned #1 QBs with production to show it and seemingly more solid years ahead of them. An elite, top tier. I suspect Josh Allen joins that crew next year.

Then there's Murray/Jackson/Brady who are kind of hard to slot in for their own reasosn....Jackson is more a RB, Murray isnt at Allens stats, and Brady isnt quite that top tier, but obviously has been most of his career

But basically there is then that next tier of QBs that is your Stafford/Brees/Tannehill/Cousins/Ryan/Bens...and Goff sure aint in that group. If your QB isnt in that group, you dont have a franchise QB, and yet you are probably paying them $30+mil/yr a la Wentz and Goff

i think between the system and the team yeah, but that team was loaded. And I think Cassell did make a prow bowl with KC in 2009 or 2010 with another good team so it’s not like NE was that special of a system.

To the Brady thing, I dont think Stafford ever had a group of talent as dogshit as Brady had in NE in 2019. Edelman aside, James White was far and away the #2 receiver, and Dorsett was the #2 WR. The line was BAD. Transport that team to 2020 and they finish 7-9 instead of 12-4 as the Bills and Dolphins romp in the division.

No question Brady is a level above Stafford, even today...but certainly has been for the last decade+

 

Kyler's 2nd most accurate season would also be Cam's 2nd most accurate season.

 

Reggie Bush had a legit season in detroit too
