Could another team gives the jets a haul for the pick and gets watson out of it?

Obviously part of the question is if you buy into Tua but if you do,

Tua, Devonta Smith AND Gregory Rousseau plus a future first-rounder next year is a pretty legit haul

vs.

Zach Wilson, Jaycee Horn and waiting until next year to continue working on it.

 

They aren't not going to take a QB at 2 if they trade Deshaun Watson.

It's not like #2 is the only thing the Jets would give up for him. We have four firsts over the next two drafts.

Idk why you're all acting like Adam Gase is still the coach or something with all this "why would he want to play for the Jets" crap lol. They have a very respectable GM who's not afraid to make moves and got the top coaching hire of this cycle. If we're comparing them to just Miami, then sure, Miami is in a better spot right now, but NYJ isn't a wasteland moving forward like years past.

The franchise also has a ton of cap space to build around Watson.

I really hope Watson gets to meet with several teams to see their vision for him.

Woody sucks but he's not as bad as McNair. The players seem to love Christopher Johnson, as big of a goober as he is.

You don't see anybody shitting Robert Kraft, who is most definitely the scummiest owner in the NFL.

 

Woody Johnson is not a great owner but I don't think Watson has high standards for an owner. He wants to go somewhere where the owner is listening to people who know football, not a Christian youth camp counselor with an inflated ego. There are 31 of those teams

Oh I'm torn. I think the Dolphins should avoid trading players. If you can upgrade from Tua to Watson immediately, you're competing for a Superbowl.

well yeah I would try to avoid it too, but say they tell Miami "we'll take X. Howard, Tua, 3, and your 1st next year and its a deal"....I would do it

if Howard was traded right now he would get at least a 1st and a 2nd I would imagine
