Uh, this video is exactly why Toney is a Top 20 prospect.

The only thing that matters in this drill is the first five yards.

Toney didn't trip. He used a hesi-step and got the corner to bite and lunge at him. It's elite footwork by a player that's shown elite ability to win with routes on the hash.

If part of your elite footwork is kicking up turf with the top of your foot I'm not sure that's the greatest selling point.

To be fair @Night Channels and I came to the same conclusion really... Toney cooked the guy.

 

I expect him to move but I have no idea how they’ll do it. I have a good gauge that the Stafford price is a 1st and a day 2 pick and that the Watson price is roughly 3 firsts, but I could not tell you at all what Goff is worth. Is he a salary dump and you’d just move a day 3 pick? Is he seen as an average starting QB under 30 and therefore commands a 1? Somewhere in between?

I also don’t expect him to move early because I don’t think he’s anyone’s plan A or plan B. Someone like IND or WAS with no QB might come sniffing when the top of the market is like Jimmy G and Darnold instead of potentially Stafford/Watson/Rodgers if they strike out but I don’t think anyone is rushing to lock Goff in as their starter in January/early February

 

Myself and @CarpetElf draw different conclusions from the same tape all the time. It'll make our 2020 season review really interesting

 

I think Goff is unique in being both a salary dump and commanding something in return. I wouldn't be shocked to see Goff and two thirds go for a teams 2022 First or something of the like.

man my college semester started and I feel so unprepared for the workload lol. Am NOT looking forward to going back to reading 200+ pages a week
