It’s crazy that SXSW got canceled, and then I see Harvard telling students not to cone back the rest of the year

This stuff seems overblown, but then you see stuff like that and it hits you differently

 

No organization/event/location wants to be the one that makes it worse. Honestly it seems more like self preservation than anything, but it's probably for the best in the long run

 

It's also worth keeping in mind that the US is testing at an absurdly lower rate than other countries for Dave Flu so it's likely we have a ton of unconfirmed cases

 

Can it not be Dave Flu if we're openly discussing it now? How about we call it a bagel?

Its all about spreading out the cases so we dont overwhelm out health system. Like, the actual death rate of Coronavirus and probably even total case load wont be that bad (certainly not compared to fucking Ebola had it broken out), but, if it expands too quickly, now you have no hospital beds, no protective equipment for doctors/nurses who also all get sick, and it ends up a disaster where a bunch of people die without even contracting the virus.

Yeah it’s actually pretty peaceful. Obviously I’m biased as I share the same opinion of like 95% of posts so I’m sure if you were the opposite opinion it’d suck.

 

I am a huge Politics thread lurker and think everyone can be equally annoying

 

I share a lot of the same opinions and still think it's dreadfully bad every time I've checked it

Jason made it unreadable for me. It’s nice not seeing a flippant response every other post now! Every time a bunch of posts happen and I don’t know what is happening I’m just like “welp Jason must be on that dumb shit again”.
