lol what universe to these ppl live in. watsons on the cusp of being an elite qb despite playing for a team that sabotages itself. i hope he gets to play somewhere where his career wont get squandered.

 

I know a team that has two 1k yard receivers and another guy that recently had a 1k/1k season.

Deshaun Watson lost one of the best WRs in the league and still had a career year...and added a whole damn Y/A while having to rely on a dude who's at best a modest 2nd WR and an oft-injured deep threat.

I started watching hockey

anyone else in here a hockey fan

I don’t like any other DC sports so I decided imma be a Capitals fan. I’ve lived here 6 years of my life and never been a fan of a hockey team so it’s NOT bandwagon you punks

they’re playing like shit tonight. But imma start watching regularly

Ive decided I’m really gonna follow sports overall more. My teams are now as follows:

(Representing each of the places I’ve lived)

NCAAF - LSU

(Representing my whole family being from there)

NCAAB - Maryland Terps

Capitals just makes a ton of sense. It’s my favorite stadium in DC and metro accessible; they’re good and the city is very excited about them; and it’s the one sport I wasn’t loyal to any other teams. I def plan to go to games post-vaccine.

yeah. Pittsburgh’s been so spoiled for the last two decades for football and hockey, but the next couple of years aren’t going to be awesome....

 

ive also recently reached the liking hockey phase of the punk lifespan. im playing fantasy and it seems like a tougher learning curve then football or basketball. but yea idk what team i want to follow. ill probably just wait and see as i familiarize w the sport more. my dad took me to a few devils games when i was little which was fun but i dont know if i have it in me to root for a team from jersey lol

 

Devils are going to be fun/good soon...they have a ton of young guys and Jack Hughes and their goalie Mackenzie Blackwood are turning into stars

My roommate / band’s old bassist used to be a huge hockey fan, so I’ve watched enough with him to understand the strategic basics, and some of the big name players (I recognized Schultz and Chara.) But he was a Penguins fan haha, and me watching with him and not really caring about hockey myself prevented me from following the local Capitals.

I moved away from DC and now that I moved back, and enjoying being back, I wanted a hometown team. And I would argue they have the most passionate current fanbase of any franchise in DC, or at least tied with the Nationals.

None of the other cities I’ve lived in have a hockey team so it’s perfect. Caps have always been good and idk why I didn’t follow them before.
