When you hit a mothafucka, you hit that mothafucka Prestigious

If I’m the Saints I easily spend a 4th round pick on Minshew rather than spend a 1st and then some to get shitty Mac Jones

if I’m the Saints I recognize 1) we got a lot of damn holes once I shed veterans for the cap, we need those early picks for team building, and 2) we should wait to draft a better QB later because pick 28 this year won’t get it done

Minshew would be a really good option for the Saints if they could get him cheap. They need someone who is better than Hill and he only makes a million bucks. It’s the trade compensation that’s gonna wind up being too expensive.

Rosen might be the softest QB prospect to ever enter the NFL.

    Mentally fragile goober

Yeah but I mean he netted a second and people on this board were all about it.

Do y’all genuinely, arbitrarily not think Jacksonville being a shitty situation for him had anything to do with his development? It’s a double standard compared to how we usually talk about young QBs. Especially when Minshew’s stats are actually not bad at all and better than the vast majority of failed rookies / sophomores

  7. If Miami believes that Tua is good, and they should know better than anyone, I think they should stay the course. They have a ton of cap and picks to build around him and make him and the team better. Trading for Watson, yes you clearly get a better QB but all of those other assets disappear. Picks and cap space. It's a tough call.

they still would have cap space though...just not as much obviously

Watson only counts $10.5 million for a new team in 2021 before going into the mid-$30's after that. Miami has $90+ million in space starting in 2022 with maybe 2-3 players raises anytime soon.

Minshew deserves another shot the Saints are just a bad ideal for him.

  13. I know his cap hit is low in 2021 but as you said it gets insane after that (not that he doesn't deserve it). But right now they are set up to (potentially) have a young QB on a rookie deal for 4 more years and tons of cap flexibility. If you get Watson you have to be more careful and won't be able to build as much in free agency. Of course, every other team would be in the same situation cap-wise. But those teams don't have a top 5 pick on a rookie deal for 4 more years. I think that is a huge difference. It just comes down to how they feel about Tua.

  17. I still like Minshew and hate the Jags decided to tank around him. Get him to a good organization and he will be a solid starter.

    oh I totally agree

its a good position to be in...build around your highly drafted young/cheap QB with the plethora of assets you have or acquire a top 5 QB in the league

all I know whatever decision they make will be the wrong one because the Dolphins are cursed

And also plenty of places they need to use it besides qb. Roster is bad lol. If there was someone in the qb draft class i liked more i might feel differently but would be way safer to sign someone like minshew so they can use that first round pick somehere else cuz right now not many qbs would succeed on that team

Minshew should go to Tampa and sit behind Brady.
