If this process had led to DeShaun Watson getting the GM he wanted and then making this coach choice, I'm fairly certain we'd be saying no QB should ever be given say in a coach pick ever again.

 

Imagine hiring the dude who set up the narrative that Josh Allen was a trash QB instead of the guy who made him elite.

Also, Eric Bieniemy is NEVER getting an NFL head coaching job. If ever there was a year his past + lack of play calling was gonna get excused, it's this one.

 

To be fair, I cannot fathom why EB would want to be the head coach of the Texans instead of OC of the Chiefs

 

Texans pretty much had to hire exactly who they hired - an old, minority coach, who was never going to get another shot
