Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar is the fuckin spot. That place is DELICIOUS. Gus’s is great too but Harold’s chicken style is so southern and and it’s in a very black-owned business part of town... and that’s the way it should be.

best sandwich is Hattie B’s but Pepperfire takes the cake for the traditional experience. Especially because they have way better sides.

God, Veracruz was so, so good. My wife did the Austin Marathon in 2019, and we stayed in that East Austin area by Blue Owl and just ate and drank like we were in heaven.
