they will have to contend with Miami and Buffalo in the short term which would make their picks much better

 

Something that’s bothering me about his agent is he already got Jalen Ramsey moved to Los Angeles, and now may be trying to get Deshaun to New York

Pretty similar situation tbh. Different players, but same basic principle of playing up management issues to paint an untenable working situation, have the public on your side, and force a trade

 

Also, I think any player trying to force a trade out of their rookie deal should be allowed to do whatever the F they want. Its a system that completely screws players out of years of money-earning potential after 3-4 years of the NCAA screwing them out of money making potential. Ramsey wanted out, got traded to team that had just made the SB, Jags got more in return than they drafted...I dont see the issue.

Dont want your players furious and demanding trades, dont promise them things you know you wont deliver and put them in hopeless situations

I'm a big fan of Saleh and think he could absolutely turn the Jets around, but it does seem strange that Deshaun would force his way off a team because of organizational dysfunction just to go to the Jets.

 

I’m not really for or against Watson or Ramsey demanding a trade (or potentially demanding a trade in Watson’s case) — but with both of these situations, it seems poorly handled by all parties and I generally end up liking everyone involved less as a result
