Yeah, Rodgers is clearly not happy with the coaching yesterday and I don't see them having a better roster than they did this year with Rodgers. Plus with drafting Love last year, I wouldn't be surprised if they at least explore trade options

 

Nobody is trading for Goff...contract is FUCKED. He has $25mil base guaranteed this year AND a $15mil roster bonus thats already guaranteed for next year.

I think the Colts, Pats, and WFT could consider under the theory he could come very cheap relative to say, a Watson or Stafford. Any other team, the Rams would have to make an Osweiler level trade and give up picks to get rid of him

 

I genuinely wonder what the Rams would say if the Colts offered say, their 2nd and 4th for Goff. Rams have no 1st, 4th or 5th round picks...Colts get a legit starting QB on functionally a 2yr deal at starters money...and they dont have to waste draft capital to try and get one of the top 4 guys. Whatever Goff is, he's basically break even with Rivers. Same argument for the Pats, in terms of "try and win now versus rebuild over 2-3 years with the 5th best rookie QB"

 

teams trading for him will have to clear out a ton of cap space for him - not impossible however

there's no incentive for the Packers to trade him now tho unless it's a shit ton of first rounders

they'll probably run it back in 2021 as a last chance - either they win it all and he retires or they fall short again and he's traded

The offense and coaching has been pretty much perfect for Rodgers the whole year and they have a good chance of having a better roster now that they got their future qb and backup rb out of the way I guess. He lost a tough game to end the season, I think people are reading a little too much into a post game press conference. It would be insane to trade him.

 

Rams would absolutely do it. Hell I could see the Rams sending Goff and a 3rd or two for next year's first from someone.

 

Has Rodgers ever been happy with the coaching?

 

He's one of the biggest whiners in the league.

I loved the shot of him yelling at Green Bay's defense about getting a stop. The defense then got back to back interceptions and Green Bay didn't score any points off of the turnovers.

Amazing player and I love watching him play, but he just seems like such a prick.
