Consequentially, a QB has a hugely inflated AV. So Rodgers being in his list will greatly inflate his total.

Not that that's bad or anything, but someone like Carson Palmer usually grades out as a career great DT or something of the sort.

Vinny Testaverde has a higher AV than: Youngblood, Largent, John Randall, and Larry Fitzgerald.

Sure, though he's still got a pretty comfortable gap over other GMs who obviously hit on their QB picks (see: Kevin Colbert).

Still strongly believe Carson Palmer would’ve been one of the best QBs of the last generation had he not gotten killed by James Harrison in the playoffs

Bengals Palmer was looking really damn good by year 3. He had a lot to do with Chad Johnson and TJ Housh being such a successful WR duo.

It would rule. Smart coordinators to help design the schemes, and the Danimal to make the players want to run through a wall for it and commit to the schemes

Yeah, like you said, it's not an absolute but it's mostly right. Like if you said who helped their team more, Fitzgerald or Testaverde, you'd be hard pressed to find someone pounding the table for Vinny. But if you grouped the top 10 guys, and the next 10 guys, everyone would take the first group.

Can someone who's good at photoshop make me a handy decision tree showing anyone who isn't a chiefs fan who wouldn't trade for Watson is dumb?

Ha, that is 1000% true. The Testaverde grouping is actually kind of fascinating...here's a smattering:

Testaverde, Flacco, Hasselbeck, Bledsoe, Dave Kreig, Archie Manning, Kerry Collins, Neil O'Donnell, Sam Bradford

Thats a bunch of QBs that had about as much playoff and SB success as Fitzgerald did, simply because a WR cant have as big an impact on a game with a garbage QB. Whereas a mediocre QB can make very good WRs and a very good defense into a winning team (we'll call it the Neil O'Donnell effect!). So I get why AV throws them way up the list, even if it definitely overdoes it.

I think PFR does weighted AV that accounts for positional differences, etc.
