Alright, so I can get the Saints back close to 0ish. I care not for player talent, simply the smartest cap moves in terms of space. It involves:

June 1 Cut - Brees + Armstead
Cut - Janoris Jenkins, Sanders, Murray, Brown, Robinson, Josh Hill
Restructure - Jordan, Thomas, Peat, Davis,
Extend - Ramcyz, Lattimore
Moves Im unsure of: Alexander (restructure or extend, either way he's a BIG savings), Easton (probably extend if he doesnt suck?, either way, $6ish mil savings)

That gives them enough to sign their draft picks, but thats about it. Maybe a Murray or Sanders they can keep if they trade those guys instead of extending them...but, then that team is Alvin Kamara and absolutely nobody by like 2023. They can keep ERFA and original round RFA players, and sign a bunch of undrafted dudes...and count their lucky stars their division is trash

The Saints are at $172mil on the 2022 cap with 26 players...and actually it will be worse if they do the June 1 cuts I said...and doubly worse with all the restructures...good chance that number is closer to $200mil after all is said and done. They'll have to field half a roster on $20mil assuming crowds and everything is back to normal for 2021 into 2022.

 

Team is a fucking mess.
