Saleh and Douglas care more about the trenches than anything else, so Sewell really could be the pick (but I'm hoping they trade #2 for Watson or just by moving back for a haul).

With a defensive scheme change, there's going to be some massive overhaul to that side of the ball. The DL is in good shape with Quinnen Williams, Foley Fatukasi, and John Franklin-Myers. I don't think Tarell Basham is coming back. There's still a big need at defensive end. Saleh will likely go get Ronald Blair to be a rotational rusher.

LB is a huge opportunity for Douglas. CJ Mosley is coming back. That's it. The Jets have a bunch of LBs that are thumpers. We need guys that can run and cover. That's a pretty big draft need now.

 

If we don't draft a QB, I think it'll be Darnold vs. Ryan in 2021...especially after hiring Greg Knapp as QB coach.

I was reading on TDN that there seems to be a small, but real sense that Sewell may not even be the first tackle taken and that just reeks of "smartest guy in the room syndrome"
